Spring/Summer Rose Gold Trend - Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch MK5128

Alexander Wang's AW11 collection showed rose gold tasselled loafers, with Jason Wu showcasing rose gold dipped stilletos heels, not to mention THAT picture of Victoria Beckham rocking rose gold Brian Atwood's rose gold platform pumps... were these pumps specifically requested to match her rose gold Rolex? Who knows...

Rose gold is appearing everywhere this Spring/Summer, especially with jewellery. The warm pinkish undertones make it suitable for all skin tones, in addition to adding a hint of vintage appeal.

Im not one to wear watches, I think the last time I actually wore a watch day-in-day-out was when I was at school and Baby G watches were the 'in-thing'.

A few years ago I started lusting over the Chanel J12 & a simple gold Gucci number. Considering I don't wear a watch every day the price tags on these babies were a biiiiit out of my range. Fast forward 2011... helloooooooo Michael Kors MK5128.

I absolutely LOVE this watch. Not only is a great dupe to the rose gold Rolex that Victoria Beckham has got, its also not that big! By big I mean the face size on my little wrist, the watch itself had to have 6 links taken out. The watch itself is rose gold plated with a bracelet strap, round dial with rose gold plated stainless steel case, Z clasp fastening and quartz movement. I like that this watch has a combination of both high polish and matte rose gold. Its not too showy, but not too subtle either, its perfect.

Currently on sale at ASOS for £199 which I do think is a tad expensive. I got mine from John Lewis on one of their price match mega days - they were matching a promotion that House of Fraser were running, so that promotion combined with a hook up of staff discount brought it down to just £120! Bargain! Im now on the lookout for some rose gold bangles...

How do you keep your brows in shape?

So, if any of you follow me on Twitter you will know that I wanted to record a tutorial on how I fill in my brows but my camera broke and I didn't want my first tutorial to be filmed on my webcam.

I recently purchased the Make Up Forever Waterproof kit and I have to say the results are great! I will be doing a review post soon with a selection of pictures showing the different stages of creating the final look.

So my question is...

How do you look after your brows? Do you tweeze, wax, or thread them?

How do you fill them in?

Mac MSF - In the Groove collection

So I was cleaning up my make up drawer this morning and just thought I would do a quick post on a couple of my MSF's (mineralise skin finish's).

Mac describe them as; A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smoothes on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, brows, anywhere on the body: provides an ultra-deluxe polish to the skin".

I got mine from the In the Groove collection which came out June/July 2010. I had never used any MSF before so I was eager to try them out and I must say, 9 months later and I am still loving them! They are the sort of product that you can use with a light foundation to just give you a more brighter glowing complexion without having to go through the whole, contour, blush, highlight scenario. They work great if you just want a flush of colour, a simple bronzed look, or a dewy highlight.

From left to right:

Comfort is a bronzed golden shade, which looks great with a tan or a more darker skin tone. Can look a bit orangey on my olive complexion unless I have had a spray tan, so I have been saving this one for when I go on holiday.

Stereo Rose is a rich golden coral with bronze undertones which is absolutely gorgeous! I ended up going back to buy another one of these babies!

By Candlelight is a golden pink shade which appears very golden vanilla on my skin tone, not so much pink, but still very lovely. I have been using this to double up as a highlighter.

I also have Petticoat which has a much cooler tone to it. I am yet to create a look with this one but when I do I will post a pic.

Colour Block Trend - High Street

I absolutely love this trend. It is the perfect way to progress from your winter clothes to your spring/summer wardrobe with a pop of colour. I always see lots of floral prints come about in Spring and I always feel that its way to early - especially in the UK when the weather is still rainy and miserable! Having said that, it has been quite nice the past fortnight so these high street pieces are perfect to start wearing in your transition phase from your winter nudes to springtime colour. I created this Polyvore to show just a few high street pieces that I feel are not only affordable, but bang on trend in terms of the colour block fashion trend.

Zara are one of those high street stores that always get it right. It doesn't matter when it is, but I can always find something that resembles the look of high end designer wear at great prices. I've picked up a few bits and bobs lately (post coming soon), with quite a lot of it being around the colour block trend. Karen Millen are another one of my favourite high street stores. A little over priced, but the quality is exceptional.

Boots Botanics Moisturising Sugar Scrub

Botanics, the power of plants...

This scrub contains hydrating Grapeseed Oil, which is hydrating and rich in linoleic acid, which helps reinforce the skin's barrier to stop skin drying out, instantly giving you smoother, moisturised skin.

This scrub works best on damp skin - not wet skin! After showering I apply some in my hands and massage in to my skin.

I like to use this product after I shave as I feel that it not only moisturises intensely, but it also smooths my skin. I don't know about you but if I shave my legs at 8am in the shower, guarantee by 8pm I feel 'sandy grain'. I do find that after applying this scrub, my legs appear smoother for longer.

The texture is not rough at all, its actually very soft, firm but soft (excuse my wrinkly fingers lol). You could hold the pot upside down and not a single drop of product would move. It almost reminds me of salt dough. Personally, I love the scent; very fresh but with a sweet pungent lingering smell - sort of vanilla but not your typical vanilla, more of a fresh leafy vanilla, if that makes sense!

After rinsing off it leaves your skin with a slight grease like film, intensely moisturised and smelling fabulous! This is the ONLY moisturising scrub that I use.
